The 2024 version features a refined lightweight body, improved spool design, and Shimano’s proven casting technologies—making it an ideal reel for beginners and budget-conscious anglers.

At its core is the VBS (Variable Brake System), a centrifugal braking system that controls spool speed during casts to significantly reduce backlash and improve accuracy. This works together with Super Free Spool technology, which eliminates friction on the spool shaft for longer and smoother casts.

The reel is built with a durable XT-7 composite body and a high-precision S3D aluminum spool, which reduces vibration and enhances casting performance.
