The Nexave is available in also larger 6000 making it perfect for specimen or heavy duty work, where larger reel sizes make fishing easier, especially when casting long distances or fishing for large hard fighting fish.
Combining low cost with Shimano’s high-quality reputation, the Nexave makes an excellent starter reel, or for occasional use when fishing for specimen fish. Featuring a superb multi-disc front drag for confident fish-playing, especially when targeting powerful hard fighting fish, the Nexave also has a lightweight aluminium spool combined with AR-C line management usually found on far more expensive models. To maximise your casting performance further, with either mono or braided main lines, Shimano’s exclusive Varispeed line lay produces excellent smooth line lay, which reduces friction as it leaves the spool.
