Shimano Ocea N – Nylon Casting Leader | Monofilament Shock Leader

 

Shimano’s OCEA Nylon Casting Leader is specifically designed for saltwater casting techniques. Powerful fish like giant trevally, kingfish and tuna can be harsh on hooks and terminal tackle and the inbuilt stretch and abrasion resistance of this premium high molecular weight monofilament leader minimizes tackle failure. OCEA Nylon Casting Leader is also preferred for specialized topwater casting techniques to maintain a solid connection and hook-set under heavy drag settings.

A blend of two types of high molecular weight nylon resin made in Japan. High strength has been achieved by original technology. This line is a soft type leader with moderate stretching properties. However, it does not stretch under low tension conditions, which reduces power loss during hooking.
High transparency is maintained.

We perform special heat treatment after resin compounding and molding for thick size ( More than 60lb) that tends to become hard. As a result, the flexibility has improved and the knot will be tied easily. The line is stored without tension immediately after manufacturing to prevent it from becoming flat. There are minimal irregularities on surface.
