The Shimano Hardbull 8+ Fresh Green 200M Braided Line is a premium high-performance braid designed for anglers who demand maximum strength, sensitivity, and casting distance. Built with advanced 8-strand (X8) construction, this line delivers exceptional roundness and smoothness, ensuring reduced friction and superior casting performance.

Engineered with Shimano’s cutting-edge braiding technology, the Hardbull 8+ offers outstanding abrasion resistance and knot strength, making it ideal for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. A new series of PE along with PITBULL. Honeywell’s Spectra® is used as the PE material. Eight-strand weave is finished by the MX2 method, which improves abrasion resistance and provides moderate “bounce/stiffness”. The PE line is easy to use with spinning reels as well as baitcasting reels.

Polyethylene yarn “Spectra®” from Honeywell Co. is adopted. It is about 15 times stronger than iron and is used in a variety of ways, such as bulletproof vests and ropes for ships, in addition to lines.

 

 

 

 

MX2 construction method to improve abrasion resistance

 

MX2 construction method in which a unique treatment is applied between filaments in the surface layer to form a highly crystallized layer. The hardened line surface contributes to improved abrasion resistance and lower elongation. The surface is coated with silicon.
