The Daiwa 2026 CERTATE SW Spinning Reel is a dedicated saltwater spinning reel engineered for anglers who demand exceptional rigidity, smooth power transmission and long-term durability in demanding marine environments. The 2026 CERTATE SW represents a major evolution of Daiwa’s saltwater CERTATE platform, featuring a Full Metal Aluminium Monocoque Body, advanced sealing and a powerful drive system designed to handle hard-fighting saltwater species.

Built around Daiwa’s Full Metal Body (AL) concept, the 26 CERTATE SW uses high-rigidity aluminium throughout the body and engine plate. Combined with the Monocoque Body, this construction creates a rigid platform that helps protect the drive system and maintain stable rotation when the reel is placed under heavy load.

The reel incorporates Daiwa’s AIRDRIVE Design, combining the Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool and Airdrive Shaft to reduce unnecessary rotational resistance while maintaining strength. This gives the reel a smooth, responsive feel and helps anglers work lures with greater control.

For demanding saltwater conditions, the 26 CERTATE SW features MAGSEALED protection at critical areas including the pinion and line roller. Combined with the sealed Monocoque construction and redesigned waterproofing around the handle connection, the reel is engineered to provide a high level of protection against water and salt intrusion.

The ATD drag system with carbon drag discs provides controlled drag performance during powerful runs, while the CNC-machined Duralumin gear delivers strong and stable power transmission. The reel also features an AIRDRIVE ABS long-cast spool, AIRDRIVE Bail and Twist Buster III line roller.

The 2026 CERTATE SW is available in 4000, 5000 and 6000 sizes for saltwater applications ranging from inshore lure fishing to heavier shore and offshore work. It is designed for anglers targeting powerful species such as kingfish, trevally, barramundi, snapper, grouper, queenfish and other hard-fighting saltwater predators.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN

Daiwa’s AIRDRIVE Design combines four major components — AIRDRIVE Rotor, AIRDRIVE Bail, AIRDRIVE Spool and AIRDRIVE Shaft — to reduce unnecessary weight and rotational resistance while maintaining the strength required for saltwater fishing.

FULL METAL ALUMINIUM MONOCOQUE BODY

The 26 CERTATE SW uses a full-metal aluminium construction, including the engine plate. The rigid Monocoque Body helps minimize flex and provides a strong foundation for the reel’s powerful drive system.

MAGSEALED

MAGSEALED uses Daiwa’s magnetic oil sealing system to help prevent water and salt from entering critical rotating components. On the 26 CERTATE SW, MAGSEALED protection is applied around the pinion and line roller.

CNC-MACHINED DURALUMIN GEAR

The precision-machined Duralumin drive gear provides strong and efficient power transmission while maintaining smooth rotation under load.

ATD DRAG SYSTEM

The ATD drag system uses carbon drag discs to provide smooth and controlled drag performance when fighting powerful fish.
